Mr Antonis Kaintatzis is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Vitreoretinal Surgeon, as well as a partner in his practice. He completed his medical degree at the University of Athens Medical School, where he also trained as an ophthalmologist. Mr Kaintatzis then undertook an additional 3.5 years of senior subspecialty fellowship training in medical and surgical retina, gaining advanced expertise in Bristol, Cheltenham, and Liverpool.
Currently practising in Gloucestershire, he specialises in cataract surgery, including complex cases and secondary intraocular lens implants. His vitreoretinal expertise includes vitrectomy for conditions such as retinal detachment, macular holes, and epiretinal membranes. He also provides treatments for macular degeneration, diabetic retinal surgery, and retinal laser procedures.
Patient care and outcomes are at the forefront of Mr Kaintatzis’s practice. He performs approximately 1,000 cataract surgeries and 200 retinal surgeries each year, ensuring the highest standards of care and precision.
