Dr Fadi Alkherdahji is an ophthalmologist specialising in surgery on the cornea, anterior segment, and retina. He also performs cataract surgery, including complex procedures.
Dr Alkherdahji gained his medical qualifications in 1997 in Syria before undertaking general surgical training in ophthalmology in the UK. He completed surgical retinal training in 2005 and subsequently pursued a fellowship in medical and surgical retinal diseases in Singapore in 2006. In 2007, he was awarded a fellowship to further specialise in cornea and refractive surgery at the University of San Diego while collaborating with a leading refractive surgeon in Mexico. Following this, he established the Eye and Ear Hospital in Damascus, where he worked until his return to the UK in 2012.
In 2012, Dr Alkherdahji founded Theia & Co, offering patients laser and non-laser refractive surgery. He also co-founded Newmedica with colleagues, contributing to its expansion. With over 10,000 cases performed and a decade of experience in the field, he is a highly regarded specialist in his area.
