Consultant Ophthalmologist and Clinical Partner
Mr Kamran Khan is a consultant ophthalmologist, vitreoretinal and cataract surgeon, and medical retina specialist at Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI) and Newmedica Eye Hospital – Leeds. He has extensive experience in the management of retinal conditions, including diabetic eye disease, retinal detachments, retinal vein occlusions, and macular diseases such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD), macular holes, and epiretinal membranes.
Mr Khan received comprehensive general ophthalmic surgical postgraduate training in the North of Scotland, where he was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth) and received the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) from the General Medical Council.
Following this, he moved to Canada to undergo extensive subspecialised fellowship training in both medical and surgical retina at the University of Toronto, which boasts the largest and busiest retina department in North America. After successfully completing his fellowship, Mr Khan returned to the UK in 2019 and joined Bradford Royal Infirmary as a consultant.
Outside of work, Mr Khan enjoys spending time with his young family and indulging in country walks.
