Miss Lucy Clarke

Consultant Ophthalmologist

My specialist interests are oculoplastics, orbital surgery and emergency eye care.

I've been practicing full-time in ophthalmology since 2001 and as a consultant ophthalmologist since 2010.

My patients are always my top priority. I take the time to understand their needs and provide clear, honest advice on the best way forward.

I stay up to date with the latest developments in ophthalmology through my professional memberships and continuous professional development. I've published several book chapters and remain actively involved in clinical research, particularly in the field of Thyroid Eye Disease.

I believe in strong collaboration with colleagues in optometry, primary care, and neighbouring units. I regularly deliver teaching to doctors and allied health professionals, including Local Optical Committee lectures, GP update training sessions, and international sub-specialty teaching symposiums. I also support university undergraduate teaching and run a highly competitive training fellowship to ensure the next generation of ophthalmologists receive high-quality training.
