I graduated with first-class honours in Medicine, a master’s in molecular diagnostics, and a PhD in cornea and anterior segment research from the University of Nottingham. After training in ophthalmology in the East Midlands Deanery, I specialised in cornea, cataract, and external eye diseases at Moorfields Eye Hospital.

I’m an experienced cataract surgeon focusing on complex cases and premium intraocular lenses. As the lead for the corneal service at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton, I provide sight-restoring procedures like DMEK, DALK, and corneal collagen crosslinking. My clinical interests include ocular surface inflammation, dry eye, and corneal infections.

I have a strong research and teaching background, with numerous publications, conference presentations, and awards. Holding diplomas in medical education and cataract and refractive surgery, I continue to teach in my current role. Improving patients’ sight is my passion.
