About

Dr Nick Edmeades is a consultant ophthalmologist with a specialist interest in cataract surgery, inflammatory eye diseases (uveitis), and treatments of the retina.

Dr Edmeades manages a wide range of general eye conditions and has sub-speciality expertise in age-related macular degeneration (AMD), retinal vein occlusion, diabetic eye disease, central serous chorioretinopathy, and uveitis. He is skilled in providing intra-vitreal therapy, laser procedures, and micro-incisional ocular surgery.

After qualifying as a doctor in 2004, Dr Edmeades pursued additional research and earned a degree in Cognitive Neuroscience. He completed seven years of ophthalmic surgical training in South West England, followed by a fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital, where he specialised in retinal disease, uveitis, and genetic eye conditions.
