Mr Philip Severn grew up in Nottingham before pursuing his studies at the University of Dundee, where he graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physiology and MBChB.
After obtaining his MBChB, Mr Severn completed his ophthalmology training in the Northern Deanery, following his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (MRCP). In 2013/14, he undertook the Medical Retinal Clinical Fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital, further enhancing his expertise before taking up a substantive NHS Consultant post.
Mr Severn has a strong interest in research and has published and presented his work on both national and international platforms. He is committed to advancing safety and quality in healthcare, recently completing a Master’s degree with Distinction in Advancing Quality, Safety and Governance in Health and Social care.
