Mr. Qasim Mansoor is a Consultant Ophthalmologist with over two decades of experience in the treatment and management of both paediatric and adult eye issues such as cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease. He sees private patients at the Nuffield Health Tees Hospital and the Newmedica Teeside Hospital.
Mr. Mansoor completed his primary medical qualification in 1997 at the University of Punjab, Pakistan, after which he undertook his basic and advanced specialist training in Ophthalmology at the Northern Deanery. Upon completion of this training, Mr. Mansoor then gained a fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons, England, and later with the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, London. Upon completion of his fellowship, he was appointed Consultant in 2012 at the South Tees NHS Trust, where he has since gained much insight into the effective management of paediatric eye conditions and has also become the co-lead for cataract surgery at the Trust.
Mr. Mansoor is also an active member of the scientific research and teaching community, authoring various peer-reviewed publications in a range of medical journals, and is also an educational supervisor for training General Practitioners and also a clinical supervisor for the Ophthalmic Speciality Trainees. He also runs clinics at Friarage Hospital, Northallerton, and at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough.
