Raj Bhayani

Consultant Ophthalmologist and Clinical Partner

About

Mr Bhayani studied at Imperial College London, and his specialism is the medical and surgical management of anterior segment ophthalmology.

He is driven by a deep desire to improve the lives of his patients through diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye conditions. He prioritises making his patients comfortable by fostering clear communication, empathy and understanding, taking the time to explain procedures and treatment options in clear terms, encourage questions, and address any concerns patients may have.

To ensure his patients receive quality service, Mr Bhayani prioritises comprehensive assessments, personalised treatment plans and patient education. By empowering patients with education and resources, he aims to engage them in their eye health and promote positive outcomes.

As well as his role at Newmedica, he’s also a corneal and refractive surgery fellow at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital.

Away from work, Mr Bhayani is a keen walker, cyclist and swimmer, and raises money for Sewa UK by completing the annual Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. He also enjoys painting and sketching.
