Consultant Ophthalmologist

I received my Doctor of Medicine degree from the Latvian Medical Academy in 1999 and completed my residency in General Ophthalmology, earning my post-graduate degree in 2005. I then joined the NHS, where I worked full-time at the Birch Hill Hospital Ophthalmology Department. In 2009, I moved to North Devon District Hospital as a Specialty Doctor in Ophthalmology.

In 2014, I completed a Medical Retina Fellowship at the Royal Liverpool Teaching Hospital and joined Anglia Community Eye Service as a Consultant Ophthalmologist. Since 2020, I have been working as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, with a subspecialty focus on Medical Retina, Medical Glaucoma, and Neuro-ophthalmology.

I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. I am also a member of EURETINA and an affiliate member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
