About

Dr Sohraab Yadav specialises in minimally-invasive cataract surgery, oculoplastic surgery, and lacrimal surgery. He is also the director of emergency eyecare services for Shropshire.

Dr Yadav qualified as a doctor in 2010, having received a university scholarship, multiple awards, distinctions, and honours. He completed his ophthalmology training in the North West, including advanced oculoplastics training and high-volume cataract surgery. He also undertook an intensive fellowship in oculoplastic, lacrimal, and orbital surgery at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital.

He has published numerous articles in respected journals on various ophthalmology topics, and his work has been presented at several international conferences. Dr Yadav is an invited reviewer for multiple journals, including the British Journal of Ophthalmology.

Dedicated to maintaining high professional standards, he continuously reviews and audits his work. He is a member of several professional groups, including the Shropshire Skin Cancer MDT and the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society.

Dr Yadav plays a leading role in training students, doctors, nurses, and allied professionals. He is a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists’ surgical skills faculty and has successfully trained several ophthalmologists in performing independent cataract and oculoplastic surgery.
