About

Mr Deol has a specialist interest in glaucoma. He has a strong clinical background in ophthalmology and a keen interest in teaching and research, with almost 20 peer-reviewed research publications.

He studied biochemistry at Imperial College London before going on to study at Birbeck College at University College London and obtaining his PhD from Wolfson College at Oxford University.

He became a fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmology in 2020. As well as the RCO, Mr Deol is a member of the European Glaucoma Society and the Medical Protection Society. A keen supporter of grassroots sports, he is also a medical officer for the Amateur Boxing International Association.
