About

Mr Will Sheehan is a Consultant Ophthalmologist with a wealth of experience within the field. He grew up around the Lincolnshire area and attended a school in Stamford before he decided to study Medicine completing an undergraduate degree in 2001, qualifying with MBChB (Hons).

As a postgraduate, Mr Sheehan undertook his ophthalmology training in the South-West of England across a wide variety of hospitals. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth) in 2012.

Currently, he practices privately at Newmedica in Bristol and at St Georges Medical practice in Weston-super-mare. As a result, his clinics are easily accessible for patients across the Bristol and Wiltshire areas. Mr Sheehan has worked as a consultant ophthalmologist with Newmedica since 2014.

In addition to his clinical work, Mr Sheehan has been involved in projects to enhance ophthalmology services in Bristol by initiating a fast track community ophthalmology service and he gives lectures about post-operative complications of cataract surgery.
