Clinic & Ophthalmic Assistants
Our Clinic & Ophthalmic Assistants play an essential role in the smooth running of our clinics, as well as providing administrative support within theatres to help maintain exceptional levels of care for our patients. These are patient-facing roles, and you’ll be responsible for performing a range of diagnostic and clinical tests to provide our consultants with the information they need for patient diagnosis and treatment.
Optometrist
Meeting directly with our patients in clinic to perform a comprehensive range of diagnostic procedures and clinical assessments, you’ll work autonomously and make clinical decisions using your own judgement and initiative. From carrying out and analysing test results to identifying new or deteriorating conditions, you’ll be given the opportunity to use your skills across a wide variety of clinical scenarios and expand your learning and personal development.
Theatre Assistant
Our Theatre Assistants support the theatre team and nursing staff by providing quality care to patients and ensuring the smooth running of the clinic. You’ll be assisting in the preparation of theatre equipment and instrumentation, and will support the team during surgery. You’ll take pride in delivering a fantastic patient journey by combining a friendly and empathetic manner with efficient clinical testing skills.
Scrub/Outpatients Nurses
As a registered NMC professional, and working as part of the clinical theatre team, you’ll play a key role in the smooth running of our daily theatre rotas. You’ll support the surgeon to provide an excellent patient experience and will anticipate any potential problems in theatre and proactively resolve them. For Scrub Nurses, you’ll have the theatre Scrub skills necessary for high-volume cataract surgery.
Administrators
Our Administrators are the backbone of our clinical services, helping ensure everything runs smoothly. Whether it’s making reminder phone calls, liaising with GP surgeries, managing patient data and records, filing, scanning or sending correspondence, every task our Administrators carry out is key to ensuring our patients have an efficient and friendly experience.
Managers – Service/Admin/Operations
As an all-round operational manager, you’ll act as the first point of contact for technical, operational or patient matters. Responsibilities will vary across the role depending on the service, but you can expect to be taking responsibility for the smooth and efficient operation of our clinics, coordinating the daily, weekly and monthly clinic schedules, and managing clinic or admin colleagues to deliver an outstanding patient service with an optimal patient flow.
Lead Theatre Practitioners
You’ll be an experienced Scrub Nurse or ODP, ideally with experience in ophthalmology. You’ll provide day-to-day leadership of our theatres, ensuring you have a sufficiently skilled theatre team that is able to deliver an exceptional, safe service for our patients.
Doctors
With a current GMC registration on the Specialist Register and experience of working at a consultant level within an NHS eye department, you’ll be delivering a range of ophthalmology outpatient services, including subspeciality in oculoplastic and minor ops and/or surgery, depending on subspeciality and experience.
