The Newmedica Exeter eye health clinic and surgical centre operates from the Marsh Barton Industrial Estate and provides services for both NHS and private patients. The clinic is led by service manager, Alix Burhouse.   

We cater for eye services across the region, including Exeter, Topsham, Exmouth, Sidmouth and the surrounding area.

Our clinic is open Monday to Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm

How to find us

By car

Use sat nav postcode EX2 8NL

There are a small number of parking spaces reserved for patients who require a carer to attend their appointment with them. The parking spaces can be found in front of the building with an overflow carpark to the left of the entrance. Please only park in the spaces marked “The Medical Eye Clinic”.

For all patients attending who do not require a carer, please arrange for your driver to drop you off and we will call them when you are ready to be collected.

By bus

The Medical Eye Clinic is located opposite the Marsh Barton, Sigford Road bus stop. The Monkerton (Exeter) to Exminster ‘B’ bus stops here every half hour during our open hours.

There is also Matford Park and Ride - EX2 8FD, which is a 5-minute walk from the clinic.

By train

The closest train station is Marsh Barton, which is a 25-minute walk or 5-minute taxi ride to the clinic.


Exeter St David's is the closest mainline station and is a 20-minute taxi ride.
